PRESS FITTING OF HEADER PUNCH

When using a header punch, we put it into a press fitting case, which is called Press Fitting of Header Punch. As the following drawings, the diameter of press fitting case is almost the same to the outer diameter of header punch. The point is that we must reserve 3 to 5 mm on the top of header punch. The rest part of header punch would be ground into taper to assure the top of punch would be the only part attached to punch case, instead of the bottom part of punch. Otherwise the header punch would wabble, which would result in a break of header punch on the indent part of the head when producing a screw with bigger head, the impact is so huge that would cause a break of header punch. Therefore, we suggest that our customers take this king of equipement when producing bigger screws.

CLAMP FITTING OF HEADER PUNCH 

The Clamp Fitting type of Header Punch (Japanese Type ) means to assemble header punch with clamp fitting punch case, as the drawings showed below. The diameter of upper side of clamp fitting is similar to the outer diameter of header punch. The diameter of lower side of header punch case is wider than that of header punch. Ny doing so, the upper side of header punch would be clamped steadily, when fastening the screw. 

There is no need to lathe or grind this type of header punch, which is easy to be assembled. When assemble header punch with punch case, fastening the fastened screw to prevent header punch from moving during production. This type of design can't offer header punch too much support during the working procession. So this punch design is suitable for procedure producing small size of screws or procedure with less forge power on header punch.
